We hired Ron Martin for a major project on our master bathroom. The original bathroom (home was built in 1987) was very large but horribly laid out - completely outdated - and included the main closet (accordion door style) for the entire master bedroom. It is really unfair to call this a renovation - it was a total remodel that included removing the old jetted tub, replacing the single sink vanity with a 2-sink vanity - replace a small corner shower with a oversize walk in shower - replace the toilet - all new tile flooring - new quartz countertop for the vanity - built in linen closet - and (most importantly) re-use of space to provide a very large walk-in closet with a separate entrance from the bedroom. The closet build included an effective hanging/organization set-up and new flooring. All of this was done while still maintaining the immense amount of natural lighting provided by existing skylights. All new wiring and plumbing was part of the project. From the beginning of the project, Ron sat down with us and presented a couple of design options and we worked with him to tweak the design to meet our own design/style preferences. Ron was fabulous in taking into account our changes/desires and incorporating everything into the final design. We were able to pick out the floor tile, wall tile, shower floor tile, shower system, toilet, sink faucets, and all wall/hanging accessories for the bathroom. From the demolition team to the framing/drywall team to the electricians to the plumbing team - the quality of the work was exceptional and Ron's involvement (and presence) was outstanding. On 2-3 occasions, we were shown work that Ron or Eddy (his main construction manager) did not come out as well as they hoped and they were completely redoing it! In one instance, the recessed lighting in the new walk-in closet was installed slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) off centered from the middle line of the closet. Ron had the electrician come back and reinstall the 3 lights. Ron is just a is bit of a perfectionist when it comes to work for his clients! Eddy ensured the work area was cleaned after every day and carpet covers and plastic were installed to protect the rest of the house from the construction area. They kept the driveway clear of debris and their tools organized in the garage space allocated. We were on a bit of an accelerated schedule as we had family visiting and Ron did everything possible to meet our desired timeline. (By the time our guests arrived - the only thing not finished was the installation of the custom shower door which happened just a few days later. The shower is amazing with a built in seat and 2 built ins for storage. The former bathroom vent (which was ineffective) was replaced with a new and more powerful venting system that keeps the mirrors from fogging over no matter how hot the shower water. Ron has been in the home remodeling business for over 30 years and it shows in how they execute the project. Ron's performance is all in the name of his company, "Custom Building & Design". I am sure there are dozens of contractors out there that do home renovation/remodeling projects and I am sure a lot of them do great work. We had major damage done to our home due to a water pipe break on the upper floor of our house while we were away. Ron redesigned the entire kitchen, making it much more usable, and was responsible for repairing most of the rooms of the house, including redoing two bathrooms and all of the floors. We are thrilled with the outcome. Ron is extremely easy to work with and his advice was excellent. In addition, the workmanship was first rate. We are so happy that we chose him for our contractor and would use him again without question.

Ron Martin and Steve and their crews were fantastic. They were very respectful of us and our home and property. Their estimates were fair and very inclusive of what we needed done. We did make changes along the way and they were receptive to our wishes and the extra costs readily factored and explained in detail. They were prompt and very professional in everything they did. Ron presented us with pictures of previous work done by his company for samples of his work and ideas if needed by us. The best recommendation I can give is that we are having Ron Martin and his crew fix up another bathroom for us in the very near future. We did have two other estimates from two other companies, but felt Ron Martin was the best one to choose and I am glad we did. Expert workmanship!!

Ron remodeled two bathrooms and his work is outstanding. Ron has a great group of subs who are thoroughly professional and do high quality work. Ron and team keep you in the loop, constantly update any changes, and their work areas are immaculate when they leave. A very professional group of guys who are customer oriented and very friendly. I've hired Ron twice. The first time to repair my roof and ceiling. He was amazing, he was the first person I thought of to complete the repairs identified during a home inspection while selling my house. Again, he was awesome! Professional, responsive, and cares about the work he does or hires others to do under his name. He discovered a last minute problem that was huge...he was able to complete the project in time for the closing of our house. I would recommend Ron to anyone and would hire him again!! Completely replaced complicated front porch semi-circle roof and railing and columns with non-wood products, then back porch Chippendale porch rail also with non-wood products. Required a lot of fabrication and planning to match previous Colonial design. Perfect results. Extremely happy.

Our kitchen was stripped out to the walls, and was reborn with new cabinets, countertop and backsplash, updated electrical outlets and installed new outlets and switches very efficiently and effectively. Ron even had a new outlet installed at the end of one of the wall cabinets so we can run rope lighting up there. The new floor is awesome! Add in the install of a TV on the wall and an extension to an existing decorative shelf were the final touches. Ron and Steve with the rest of his team and subcontractors were extremely professional and the end result here is a reborn kitchen! They are the best!!

We hired Ron to repair the water damage to the floor, caused by a slow leak over a period of time, from the dishwasher. We were very satisfied with the work he did. He was Prompt, Professional, Curteous, did Quality work and left the premisies cleaner than it was before he started. His service was well worth the cost and we give him our highest recommendation.

Mr Martian was great to work with, He was willing to work with us for a deck we would like and could afford. He was in constant communication with us and pulled all necessary permits for job. He got inspections taken care off as well. The attention to detail on deck is very impressive, The quality and detail was more then we expected. Mr. Martin came when scheduled to review scope of work, and provided a fairly priced written contract. His crew showed up when scheduled, and accomplished the work quicker than I had anticipated. They did a great job of cleaning up both the interior and exterior of my home when they were finished and hauled the waste away. Mr. Martin returned and inspected the work before he accepted my check. I am very pleased with the job that was done.

I live overseas and I was renting my house. When the renters vacated, the pipes froze leaving water damage in the master bath. RW Martin gave me an estimate, submitted it to my insurance co. for me, and repaired the damage. I then decided to sell my house instead of rent it again and RW Martin gave me a very reasonable quote. Not only did he do quality work, but he advised me on what needed to be completed versus what would be nice to have done. I put the house on the market and within a week I had an offer, which I am sure is due to his quality work. I am extrememly thankful to have found RW Martin to complete the work on my house.
